Album of the Week: The Lizzie McGuire Movie Soundtrack

This soundtrack will live on forever in my heart. As a die-hard Lizzie McGuire fan, I went out and bought the soundtrack before I even saw the movie. It’s so ingrained in my childhood that just looking at the soundtrack cover will instantly bring me back to my twelve-year-old self — over-eager and impatient to see Lizzie take on Rome with Gordo. The top single from the soundtrack, “Why Not,” sung by Lizzie herself, a.k.a Hilary Duff is the epitome of that soundtrack. That plus “What Dreams Are Made Of,” are songs that, even to this day, I know the lyrics to and will sing at the top of my lungs regardless of who is around.
