I found a new baker you guys HAVE to watch on YouTube! Her channel is called Joy of Baking and she has thousands of recipes that will have you salivating before you can finish watching her videos. Her recipe for cream puffs popped up in my suggestion feed and it’s been an obsession ever since.
FYI, this is not a channel you want to be browsing at 2 A.M. You’ll be starving for hours.
What I really enjoy about her channel is that it’s a “real” cooking channel. It's not a fancy set and she never pretends like everything came out perfectly. She knows she's not Martha Stewart and I love that. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Martha, but Martha is the definition of “perfection.” And that can get stale after a while. Watching this channel feels like watching my mom cook. If something goes wrong, she has a solution to make it work while acknowledging that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Food is food. For example, when making her cream puffs, she realized that the pastry wasn’t as hollow as it should’ve been when it first came out of the oven. And did she panic? No! She gave a simple solution to fix it and was on her way.
Check out her channel below! You (probably) won’t regret it!
