Dog Emergency Kit

For all of you dog parents or soon-to-be dog parents, an emergency kit for your furry child is a necessity. I’m not kidding. Especially for those who like to go on adventures, such as hikes or camping trips, it’s really important that you have an emergency kit on hand. Now, before I list my own kit, I want to remind you that before you start packing, you should speak with your veterinarian.

In terms of my own kit for Marnie, I spoke with my vet about what she would recommend having on hand in case there is an emergency. Aside from this kit I purchased on Amazon (link here) I also packed an extra set of water, food, poop bags, collar, and leashes, I also put her most recent medical records and emergency phone numbers in there, just in case. This is a “Just in Case of an Emergency” bag, so there. The numbers include my veterinarian and the 24-hour Emergency Vet Clinic. I also put an extra blanket in the bag because you never know — you may need it.

For those who have already put together an emergency kit, what are some staples in it? Let me know what you think in the comments below!
