Has anyone ever played Rummikub? I bought it as a Christmas present for my dad and when we played it for the first time, it went horribly wrong. The directions were kind of confusing and I’m this close to watching a YouTube tutorial on it. Is that completely lame? We ended up just making up how WE thought the game should be played and I’m pretty sure we were wrong.
In this household, we have a love/hate relationship with playing games. Family game night is always fun, but way too competitive and someone always gets annoyed or hot-headed. I know we’re not alone in this. Our go-to game is UNO. Always fun, never predictable, guaranteed to make someone upset. Another good one is Monopoly. We have to have at least five different versions of the game — Italian-opoly, Wizard of Oz Monopoly, Harry Potter Monopoly, etc. It’s endless, and yes, we have constant arguments over which one we should play, thank you very much.
Game night is simply the best, especially when family and friends are on board (see what I did there? On board?…) Anyways, we usually put a movie on in the background, get the snacks out, (and wine for the ladies) and we’re off. Nothing better in my opinion.
Anyways, if anyone can tell me how Rummikub is played, I will be eternally grateful. So will the rest of my family.
What about all of you? What’s your go-to game night like?
