Recipe of the Week: Oreo Balls

Updated: Sep 14, 2020

Next to Fried Oreos, these are the best Oreo-themed desserts I’ve ever had! Not to mention that they are SO easy to make and will take up just twenty minutes of your day to assemble. My parent's anniversary is this month so I took it upon myself to make a dessert for them, seeing as they can’t go out and we’re not really into spending a lot of money these days. I came across this recipe on a blog called I Heart Naptime and within the first bite of them, I knew they were going to have a permanent place in my cookbook. However, I made a teeny, tiny change to it by exchanging Nutella for the regular chocolate you dip them into and it was totally worth it. I’m pretty positive you’ll agree! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

INGREDIENTS

36 Oreo cookies (1 package)

8 ounces cream cheese

8 ounces melted Nutella

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Crush the Oreos (with filling) in a blender or food processor.  2. Mix together the Oreo crumbs and the softened cream cheese. 3. Roll the dough into balls using your hands and place them on a baking sheet with parchment paper. 4. Freeze for 10-15 minutes. 5. Melt the Nutella and stir until smooth. Then use a fork to dip the Oreo balls into the Nutella. Tap on the edge of the bowl to get the smooth finish. Use a toothpick to help slide the ball onto the pan. Allow to harden.  6. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
