How is it already September? Unfortunately, September is the equivalent to what Mondays feel like to me. It was always the month of school starting up again, which totally sucked, and the end of summer. For those who may not understand, I hated school. I was shy and anxious, which was an obvious target for those wonderful bullies, so September was really not my month.
Aside from my mom’s birthday, the month of September doesn’t really have any good feelings for me. It’s sort of a blah month, you know? There’s not much going on. I’m usually just waiting for it to be October because that’s when everything starts — the holidays, the nice weather, the comfort food. Unfortunately, the hot summer weather is still in full gear as opposed to the cool, comfy fall weather I’m dying for. Trust me when I say that I’ve got my sweaters waiting on standby.
Poor September. It really doesn’t have much going for it. I should try and like it, I really should. Unless there’s a movie coming out, there’s not really anything to look forward to in that month. Maybe that’s why it feels like it takes a year for it to transition from September to October? All I do know is that this month, I’m going to be rushing Fall like it’s nobody’s business. And that means decorating the house weeks earlier than what is “socially acceptable,” and probably watching Halloween movies before Labor Day hits because, really, who gives a f**k? I’ve been watching Christmas movies since…well…Christmas of last year (minus a week or two where I gave normal movies a shot).
Do any of you feel the same way? What do you do to get through September? Let me know in the comments below!
